I think for Universities, it really depends a bit on the city. Universities in Rome (or other large cities) probably don't have much of that dynamic, but I think in Universities where the students are a large fraction of the population, local/student issues can crop up. I remember being in situations where the locals were not very fond of students at all--mostly because of the noise and stereotypical raucous student parties. It made me think of how irritated the Tiberian people must be about the roving groups of students talking loudly in wine shops (and, well, starting riots now, I guess...).

Yeah, I guess he could have easily done that 'off-page'. I was just a little confused by his claim.Alliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03683230093775720398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074055834975214817.post-34260437182316539232016-02-10T11:32:56.179-05:002016-02-10T11:32:56.179-05:00Good point about Anafiel concerning the Guild and ...Good point about Anafiel concerning the Guild and Rolande. I agree - I doubt Anafiel would have put anything, even the Guild, before Rolande.

I think people have a lot more opportunities to attend college these days than they did in Imriel's time in Tiberium. Tho I think in pricey university towns there might be some similarities.

I don't know if Imriel bluffed about that letter or not. He could have left a small note with his belongings, etc. Or even written a swift note on the way and paid a kid to run it back to his apartment and leave it with Belinda until he returned. It wouldn't have to be something elaborate. Still, we didn't see him do it. nrlymrtlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00572346310916207565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074055834975214817.post-46273380750446404172016-02-02T15:47:46.017-05:002016-02-02T15:47:46.017-05:00Hm, I don't know how he would have found the G...Hm, I don't know how he would have found the Guild without his class friends. I guess he would have still met some people through Eamonn, but it would have been a different path.Alliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03683230093775720398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074055834975214817.post-66804756159748047952016-02-02T15:46:48.419-05:002016-02-02T15:46:48.419-05:00Agreed! Not sure if his sword hand will ever really recover.
Lynn :D
Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13928865767523025349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074055834975214817.post-65508056877935188312016-02-01T07:44:25.903-05:002016-02-01T07:44:25.903-05:00"I really enjoyed his scheme to stop the murd..."I really enjoyed his scheme to stop the murder attempts! I also thought it was pretty funny how shocked the guy was that Imriel did not take the assassination attempts personally. I guess it’s happened enough times so far in Imriel’s life that he’s a little used to it."

Me too! When Imriel is not busy being emo, he's surprisingly practical and down to earth.emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12945793193044137020noreply@blogger.com
